Description

Old style Indian hand percussion Damru is a musical instrument of famous people to hit drums across India. Damru is primarily made of wood, metal, or skulls and hides cross-tied strands or ropes in two finishes that are manufactured using cotton, cowhide or jute. Damru is an hourglass drum that is usually played by exposed hands. Players bend the wrist in this way and shake the instrument. Damru players change the pitch of musical instruments by changing the strain on these strings. Damro is associated with Hindu God Shiva, and is the most beloved musical instrument of God Shiva. Therefore, the Dumble, also known as Power Drum, evokes energy in another world.
