Whether the magnetic hook can hold many kg or not, your steel is definitive!

1. Thicker steel

Thin steel means the magnetic flux of the magnetic circuit is saturated. Excess magnetic flux will be wasted in the air and cannot be used.

2. Thin painting/no spacers

The thick paint causes a large leakage of the magnetic flux, and only a small portion of the magnetic flux from the magnet hook can be used to provide traction. The thicker the paint, the worse the magnetic force!

Is it hanging horizontally or hanging vertically?

1. Neodymium magnet hooks are recommended to hang straight upside down, but in most common places, horizontal hanging method is used.

2. The horizontal hanging capacity of the magnetic hook is determined by friction of the attracted items, and it is much smaller than the straight upside down hanging of the magnetic hook.

If you stick the magnetic hook to thin steel with a thick smooth paint on the side, such as refrigerators and filing cabinets, please use caution as most magnetic flux will be wasted in the air.

Please be aware that the magnetic force will weaken when using in high temperatures above 176°F (80°C).
