Most of the latest fuel injection vehicles operate the fuel pumps in the tank and operate far more fuel than required for the fuel rails. The regulator maintains a certain amount of fuel pressure within the rail and sends the rest back to the tank. However, the tuner upgrades the intake and exhaust system and often ignores that more fuel is required to maximize these modifications.
