How to format the SSD
Proceed on the talk with the assumption that Windows is running.
First, right click the open Windows menu button on the bottom right and select "Management" from the displayed menu.
Next, select "Disc Management" located on the left side of the screen.
When the SSD is connected correctly, if a new SSD is connected to a PC, the "Disc" screen will appear.
If this screen does not appear, you may not have a SSD insert securely into the case connection terminal, so please remove the case and insert it securely into the case connector.
The following is a very important choice, but you can choose between "MBR" and "GPT" in the "use of the next partition style for the selected disc, but please make sure to select "MBR" here.
After completion, the "Disc Initialize" screen closes and returns to the "Computer Management" screen, right-click on the top of the "Unassigned" on the right side of Disc 1, and select "New Simple Volume" from the menu.
Then the "New Simple Volume Wizard" will appear, following the wizard screen and click the Next button.
Then you will receive a screen to specify the volume size, enter the same value as the maximum disc area and click the Next button.
Then you will be asking if you are assigning a drive letter. The drive letter is a letter assigned to a drive such as C:or D:. Here is a temporary assignment, but still remains in the default display, click the Next button.
Then you will hear the partition format. Select "Format this volume with the following settings" and leave it at its initial value like the capture screen below.
Here, we have checked for quick format, but the difference between normal format and quick format is to check whether or not you are going to find a bad spot on the disc.
Until then, the format contents will be finished. The screen shows "wizard complete" and it will be mispressed if the formats are already finished, but by pressing the "Finish" button to activate the SSD format.
The format is completed successfully, and the display of disc 1 has been changed from "unassigned" to "normal". Now the SSD is formated!
