Polycarbonate (PC) is a kind of engineering plastic, which has high heat resistance and high strength. Since the product was successfully developed by Bayer in 1953, it has been used in a very number of fields including optical equipment, electronics, consumer electronics, aircraft, automobile, medical equipment, building materials, miscellaneous goods, and household goods, making it an indispensable plastic material for our lives. To far, polycarbonate 3D printer filaments have been used only in some industrial 3D printers. Polymaker has successfully developed PC filament PolyLite™ PC (formerly known as Bayer MaterialScience) that can be used with desktop 3D printers.

Recommended Print Condition Settings:
Nozzle Temperature: 558 - 650 °F (250 - 270 °C)
Modeling table temperature: 198 - 215 °F (90 - 105 °C)
Printing speed: 1.2 - 2.0 inches (30 - 50 mm/s)
Cooling fan: OFF (to improve adhesion between each layer)
Recommended to use BuildTak filament fixed heat-resistant sheet (to prevent warping during modeling). Please note that when the nozzle is too close to the sheet during first layer printing, it will be hard to peel off the product (if the thickness of the layer is 0.1 mm, recommended value = 0.15-0.2 mm)
Printed with brims or rafts to prevent warping during modeling. For rafts, the recommended distance between model and draft is 0.2-0.3 mm

Additional Information:
Suitable for sealed 3D printers to prevent warping during modeling (as the air inside warms up) Especially for large models, 3D printers that actively warm the interior space with temperature control.
After 3D printing, annealing for 2 hours at 100 degrees Celsius (heat treated) will reduce residual stress and improve mechanical properties
Softening temperature: Glass transition temperature = 244°F (113°C), Bicat softening temperature = 299°F (119°C).
The filament is packed in a vacuum pack with desiccant (resealable) after opening, please seal and store the filament to prevent moisture absorption
