This "Plugable USB-C to DisplayPort Adapter (USBC-TDP)" allows you to connect an external DisplayPort monitor to a laptop, tablet, or desktop PC that supports USB-C DisplayPort alternate mode. Approximately 2.0 inches (5 cm) in size, very lightweight and compact, making it suitable for carrying around.The flat and flexible flat cable makes it convenient for installation in narrow spaces.Works with systems equipped with USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports that support DisplayPort alternate mode, and the maximum support resolution is up to 3840x2160 @ 60Hz (4K 60Hz).


Plug & Play If you are using a system that supports "USB Type-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode", you can easily and inexpensively connect additional external monitors with adapters or cables that support alternate mode.No additional driver deployment is required. Since this "DisplayPort Alternate Mode" allows direct access to the systems GPU directly, an external monitor connected using alternate mode compatible adapter can provide the same performance as a monitor connected directly to the graphics port provided on the system motherboard. If the system can provide sufficient CPU/GPU performance, it can also be used for video and image editing, gaming and other relatively high load applications.	4K Performance Connect to monitors with DisplayPort input at resolutions up to 3840x2160@60Hz (4K 60Hz). Compatible Systems	Chromebook, Windows, Mac, Linux systems with USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 ports that support "DisplayPort Alternate Mode" This adapter is tested for functionality in 2018+ iPad Pro (mirroring only)) / MacBook Air / iMac and iMac Pro / MacBook and MacBook Pro / Google Pixelbook / Dell XPS 13 & XPS 15 / Lenovo Thinkpad / HP Spectre x360 / Samsung DeX compatible devices.
Note	It also supports voice transmission if there is a speaker in the monitor side.Note: MacBook 12" before 2016 has limited output to 4K@30Hz, and can not display 4K@60Hz with this adapter.
Incompatible Systems	Many smartphones and tablets currently have USB-C ports that do not support "DisplayPort Alternate Mode". ASMedia USB 3.1 controller is not currently compatible with "DisplayPort Alternate Mode". This cable is not bi-directional convertible and can only be used with monitors with DisplayPort input ports. Even if your system has more than two USB-C ports, alternate mode may be limited to one unit per system. The DisplayPort on this adapter is not DP++ and is not compatible with passive DisplayPort conversion adapters.
DisplayPort MST	The adapter itself is MST compatible, but in order to ensure the daisy chain by MST will work properly, all the host systems, graphics device drivers, motherboards, etc.
