「ウォッシュボード」は、1910年代後半にアメリカ中南部のジャズ音楽で洗濯板(ウォッシュボード)をパーカッションとして使用されたのを起源とするリズム楽器です。 グローバー/トロフィーの「Musical Washboard FN75」は、サビに強い波型の金属板を採用し、木枠部分は無塗装の天然木を使用しています。 付属の金属製シンブル(指貫:ゆびぬき)を使用して、ボードの凹凸部分をこすったり叩いたりして音を出します。誰でも簡単に音を出すことが出来ますので、 音楽ジャンルを問わず楽しむことができます。 カントリー、ウェスタン·ミュージックにも最適です。
