General Features
Feature of Cold Rolled Precision Worm.
1) Due to cold roll processing, the surface of the screw surface is hardened by processing hardening and the metal fiber structure is not cut, so it has superior mechanical properties compared to the worm of machine cutting.
2) The surface hardness after roll is 1.2 times to 1.3 times the hardness of the base material, and the hardness of the screw surface is HB240 to 260.
3) The rolling worm has a mirror surface roughness of the screw surface, if used in conjunction with the worm wheel, the service life of the worm gear is longer than the cutting worm.
4) If the worm wheel is made with soft materials such as polyacetal, the combined worm is cut to the cutting process, the worm wheel may be scraped by the corners of the thread.
The rolling worm has a mirror surface roughness and increased surface hardness, especially because the corners of the screw threads are raised during rolling, it has a perfect curvature and no shaving the teeth of the worm wheel as mentioned above. It is extremely durable.
5) The rolling warm does not distort the plastic during the roll uniformly, so there may be a drunken error (also known as walking). In the process of rolling warms 1 turn (during 1 lead), the phase progression delayed at certain positions is considered drunken error.
6) Single pitch error and pressure angle error is dependent on precision of rolling roll dice, but the maximum error of single pit of roll is 18μm and pressure error is ± 20.
