台座はアクリル製で壁掛け可能。フランス語で”海”という名称のとおり、人工衛星からの画像による彩色、陰影で”水の惑星”地球の自然をリアルに再現。海洋底は従来品ラ·メール 海洋タイプ地球儀 WM (アクリル台)どおり精密に描かれていて、海嶺、海溝などの位置がわかりやすい。南極にもある主な火山には三角マークを記載。首都につけた二重丸は薄黄色彩色され、見つけやすくなった。
