The outer acrylic sphere case is a double layer of a small globe inside the case and is filled with a special liquid that makes it smooth in the gap between 2-3mm. Therefore, even if you hold it in your hand, you cannot stop the movement of the globe.
The solar battery inside the globe changes the light coming through the sphere and uses the current to be powered. The globe will rotate due to the magnetic action and gravity force, so just leave it in place and it will rotate naturally and slowly under indoor light.
