About WASP DELUXE

WASP is a portable analog synthesizer born in 1978, used by many famous artists such as Yan Hammer, Tic Colia, Rick Wakeman, Jean Michelle Jar, the Tomada Medal, and Keith Emerson.WASP was also a very unique product with a monofonic 2 octave keyboard that uses touch-sensitive keys. WASP DELUXE is a homage to its iconic synthesizer, with the original features and some additional features, output any sound you can imagine with incredible sensitivity and ease of use. This Behringer WASP DELUXE is also pronounced with only 3 octaves, just like the original WASP.

About Oscillators

The two oscillators are available in three waveforms with enhanced mode that gives punch and clarity to the tone of a saw, rectangular wave and oscillator. Each oscillator is adjustable with a wide range of 5 octaves (32, 16, 8, 4, 2). The Oscillator 1 waveform can be adjusted with the WIDTH knob, and the Oscillator 2 has pitch control that can be adjusted for the pitch of the Oscillator 1 to create a very sweet modulation effect. In addition, you can mix and blend these with external audio signals for a unique sound.

Control Oscillator

This section has flexible LFOs with 6 waveforms such as sine wave, upper and lower saw, rectangular wave, noise and random, allowing you to operate it with FREQ knob and PITCH knob. It also features a noise generator that dramatically expands waveform generation, mixing and creating percussive sound.Equipped with a multi-mode VCF with LO, HIGH, BAND, and NOTCH filter options, FREQ and Q settings allow you to adjust the cutoff and width of the filter to spice up your sound makeup.

Envelope Generator

The WASP DELUXE has two analog envelope generators for modulating VCA and VCF. The VCA envelope section features attack, decay, sustain level/repeat knobs and switches to hold the VCA envelope. The control envelope section features attack, decay and delay/repeat knobs that allow you to create quick notes in milliseconds like craftwork or create synthesis sounds like VANGELIS movie blade runners.
