What is Step-Up Rings?
Step-up rings, also known as adapter rings, allow you to use filters and accessories that are not the same size as your camera lens. There are various types and sizes of lenses and filters, unfortunately, they may not always fit correctly. Fortunately, we have a step up or step down filter for almost any need.
HOW STEP-UP RING WORKS
Step-up ring provides a way to attach larger diameter filters or accessories to smaller lenses. The step-up ring is screwed into the lens thread providing a larger thread and also allows you to attach other elements in the step-up ring.
HOW STEP-DOWN RING WORKS
The step down ring works exactly the same, but instead gives you a way to attach a small accessory or filter to a larger lens.
It is important to note that the more you leave the filter away from the lens, the worsened optics will be. To keep the filter close to the lens, its always best to find the thinnest adapter ring you can find.
