Park Tool BBT-19.2 Bottom Bracket Tool

Bike bottom bracket may need to be removed for maintenance, replacement or upgrade. The Park Tool BBT-19.2 is used to remove and install external bearing bottom brackets with 16 notched threads on 44mm outer diameter.Includes:

BBT-19.2 is made of high-precision hardened chromoly steel with a 3/8" drive fitting and 1" wrench flat to drive tools using a wrench, socket or a 3/8" drive torque wrench. Manufactured by Park Tool, the most trusted in the field of bicycle tools and repair equipment for over 50 years.

Note: BBT-19.2 is not recommended for 16 notch disc brake rotor lock rings due to shallow tool fitting configurations. Use Park Tool BBT-9 or BBT-69.2 instead.

Counting Splines/Notches

Remove the crank and find the bottom bracket shell for tool attachment points.Mounting areas include perimeter notches and dimples, inner peripheral splines, or face pin holes. Counts the number of tool fittings on the cup

Measure Diameter

Next, use a pair of nails to measure the diameter or width of the tool fitting. For an external notch, simply measure the outer diameter of the cup or adapter on the bottom bracket. Measures in millimeters.
