Brand Story

VANSは1966年、アメリカの南カリフォルニアで設立されました。創設者であるポール·ヴァンドーレン氏の名前から「VANS」の社名になりました。当時のお店は商品の全てを手作りしていました。シンプルなデザインや「ヴァルカナイズ製法」で作られたスニーカーは、地元のスケーター、サーファーを中心に人気が高まりました。それからすぐに世界中で人気となりました。VANSの中で最初に作られたスニーカーは1977年発売の「AUTHENTIC(オーセンティック)」。このAUTHENTICは履きやすさを求め、改良を重ねて出来た靴です。それから名作を続々と世の中に発表し世界中から愛されるBRANDに成長しました。
