The striking surface is made of maple ply and the other side is made of solid MDF (type of fiberboard) material. The hitting surface is easy to produce bass, and is not too stiff, making it very easy for beginners.
Sizes are standard cajon sizes.
The color is a natural and black color exclusive to Shimamura Musical Instruments.
