■About waterproof and breathable products
A long time ago, rain coats made of waterproof rubber were commonly used for several decades, but in the past decades, rain coats made of a moisture permeable membrane that is commonly known for Gore-Tex and have been used to make sweat even after sweating. Products using these waterproof vapor membrane film are a major advantage of high breathability and moisture permeability despite its high waterproof performance. However, these waterproof fabrics are developed for rain jackets and pants, so they do not have the shrinkage and are not commonly used in socks and other products.
DEXSHELLs waterproof and breathable products are 100% waterproof and breathable, but the fabric shrinks make it possible to use it without any discomfort as regular socks or gloves. DEXSHELL products are composed of 3 layers (outerwear, waterproof membrane, and inner). Coolmax and Merino wool are used to absorb sweat and evaporate to prevent stuffiness.
The outer material of DEXSHELL products has been treated to be water repellent, so it prevents water from entering the socks and gloves by preventing water from penetrating and diffusing in small amounts of water. DEXSHELL products are also available in a variety of products ranging from ankle to above the knee and provide waterproof seals on the cuff such as the DS630W for a wide range of applications and situations.
