Regular ironwork drills temporarily heat resistant with titanium coating, but the blade will not wear out and cut before the blade is hot and the result is a higher coefficient of wear and burn.
Stainless steel is harder and more sticky than ordinary iron, so when used for work, we recommend Cobalt High Speed (HSS-CO) that is harder and more resistant to abrasion.
