Schmincke Soft Pastel is made with the least binder that requires only the finest pigments of high purity. The pigments are carefully ground with a super hard lava rock grinder and then stick into a traditional bar and then labeled by hand. The surface and interior are evenly distributed and very soft and feels like buttery. These features make it easy to perform a variety of techniques on a variety of pastel paper. Approximately 0.5 inch (13 mm) thick and 2.6 inch (65 mm) long are easier to draw than any other pastel. As a support, it is suitable for easy adhesion of textured paper on the surface. However, pastel itself is not fixed, so please use a small amount of fixacief to fix it in a small amount of time carefully. Can be used with other art supplies for a wide range of expressions.
