Schmincke Soft Pastels are created with minimal binder that requires only high purity high-grade pigments. Pigments are carefully ground with a super hard lava rock grinder and stick in traditional methods and labeled by hand. The surface and interior are evenly and very soft, giving it a buttery feel. These features make it easy to perform a variety of techniques on a variety of pastel paper. The thickness of 0.5 inch (13 mm) x length of 2.6 inch (65 mm) makes it easier to draw than any other pastel. As a support, it is suitable for easy adhesion of textured paper on the surface. However, pastel itself is not fixed, so please use a small amount of fixacief to fix it in a small amount of time carefully. Can be used with other art supplies for a wide range of expressions.
