Polycarbonate is used for data storage of compact discs, DVDs and Blu-Rays. It is used in many medical applications and components of todays advanced phones. Often used for eye protection. Used to make bulletproof glass after lamination. PC filament is a great 3D material for its strength. It is a really strong material while maintaining heat resistance. Your PC will not shatter like Plexi Glass. It tends to bend and deform like hard rubber until it finally breaks. It has high optical clarity. As the PC absorbs a lot of moisture in the air, it is recommended to store it in an airtight container when not in use. Print will not be able to be printed within 24 hours even in a humid environment. Therefore, it is ideal to store in an airtight container while printing. Dried filaments are printed more clearly. Moisture absorbing filaments are printed white during printing to produce pops and bubbles Extrusion temperature varies depending on the printer, but generally is about 245 to 260 degrees Celsius. Unlike PLA with high metastastases temperature, the PC slowly softens when heated. Slower print speed is preferable because faster prints require higher temperature rise. Tape should be used in heated beds around 120°C
