Description: A4988 is a complete micro-stepping motor driver with built-in translator for easy operation. This product is available in full, half, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 step modes, operates bipolar stepping motors, and has output drive capacity of up to 35V and ± 2A. A4988 includes a fixed off time current regulator. Low or mixed dampening mode regulator The A4988 converter is a key for easy installation. As long as the "step" input in which one pulse enter will drive the motor 1 micro step. There are no phase sequence tables, high frequency control lines, and no complicated interfaces to program. The A4988 interface is very suitable when complicated microprocessors are not available or overloaded. Micro step operation, the internal A4988 chopping control automatically selects the current dampening mode (Slow or Mixed) In mixed attenuation mode, the device first set a fixed downtime with a few fast attenuation, then the rest of a slow decay downtime. Mixed-attenuation current control system reduces audible motor noise, improves step accuracy and reduces power consumption. Internal synchronous rectifier control circuit is provided to improve power consumption in Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) operations. Internal circuit protection includes thermal shutdown, low voltage lockout (UVLO), and crossover current protection. Special power sequence A4988 Surface Mount QFN Package (ES), size 5mm x 5mm, height of the overall nominal package 0.90mm, with exposure pad to enhance heat dissipation. This package is Pb (Suffix-T) and 100% Brushed Tin Lead Frame Plated.
