How to install the gas strut
● Before installing a new gas strut, first check and compare the design, length, exhaust output, and mounting points.
Uses a gas strut with ball joint to reduce wear on the piston rod and seal.
● Place the cup of the bearing on top of the ball joint and attach the piston rod down
● Similarly, attach the strut with the rod down for optimal lubrication, reducing wear and tear as much as possible.
● Ensure that the end fixtures are in a straight line and will prevent lateral loads from being placed on the strut and are completely tightened.
