From DAddario, the latest coating string "XT" is born, from EXL, EXP, and NYXL and guitar strings.
DAddario has been working on the development of long life strings combining unique latest coating technology with materials like NYSteel ever developed and innovative elements like FusionTwists, combined with natural tones and touch-feeling, which have been said to be difficult to achieve.
The XT series has been coated with a high carbon steel core and plain strings, with a proprietary coating technology, all of the high-carbon steel cores, and has a high performance string that has never been seen in the coating strings, in terms of strength, pitch stability and corrosion resistance.
The new coating technology in the XT series has been able to apply an ultra-thin micro-polymer coating to all types of strings. Corrosion tests have achieved higher corrosion resistance performance compared to previous coating strings EXP series and produce a natural sound and feel that is like a non-coated string, despite its long life and high corrosion resistance. It also has a micro polymer coating on all strings, including plain strings.
The EXP series was commissioned to external technology companies, but the XT series set up their own new coating equipment indoors in the same company. This allows all manufacturing processes to be completed within our facility, resulting in a process that is coated with freshly made wire material at the best possible condition without the need for any additional transportation or packaging.
