Be sure to test on an inconspicuous area before using. Many products that are made overseas, have dried and shrinking. In addition, there may be cracks due to drying. This is a characteristic of the product and is not a defect. Dry polish is called "dry wax". Drying reduces solvents and increases the ratio of gloss wax, eliminating the hassle of drying after application, as well as being less likely to fall off by friction during polishing, resulting in a faster mirror. Many cases of professional shoe polishers use "dry wax" to create a gloss.
