The 3 year round 60 caliber 6.1 inch (15.5 cm) 3-series gun was the first developed by the Japanese Navy and was developed as the main gun of the top light cruiser.
Rated as a masterpiece cannon with high shooting accuracy and excellent maneuverability of the gun, this gun was only reused in conjunction with the main gun of the top heavy cruiser, and is used to the secondary gun of the Yamato-style battleship.
The Yamata-style Battleship was equipped with 4 bases on the rear of the 2 main turret and 12 gates on the rear of the 3 main turret and the left and right sideways (reduced to 6 for later remodeling), with this arrangement, 9 of the 12 parts were able to be pointed to the chisel fender.
