The CV-2 Lexington was initially planned as a constellation class cruiser battleship with 10 14" cannons and 35 knots at the speed of 35 knots, but due to the limited number of battleships and cruiser battleships in the Washington Armed Contractation Rules, and it served as an aircraft carrier in December 1927.
