The Lunchastratos was developed as the worlds first Papasbilt machine, and was created as an innovative midship machine with FRP cowl front and back. The power competition in the 1970s rally grew to follow the years, and to win, a lightweight and compact machine was required. Rancha has been developed solely to earn the worlds first WRC title without the idea of creating rally machines based on commercial vehicles. November 1970, Bertone announced the original Stratos at the Torino Show and introduced the second prototype car to the lunchar with introducing a midship layout in November 1971. The next year we have participated in various events while prototyping the WRC game before aging. Stratos production in October 1973 and Group 4 homologation acquired in October 1974, and immediately debuted at WRC 5th Sunlemorary. Stratos kept the top of the day, showed an overwhelming performance, decorated with the winning debut battle, and earned the makeup Title this season. In 1975, the Italian airline Alitalia Airline won the main sponsor in 1975 to achieve a 3-year make-up Title without losing its strength in 1976, Monte Carlo won 3 years consecutive makeup Title in 1975 to 1977.
