Separable roller follower
The roller follower is a bearing designed for outer wheel rotation, which incorporates a needle core into a thick outer wheel.
Roller follower contains separation and non-separated type. These bearings are available in a variety of different types for almost all types of applications. They are widely used for linear movement to transport cam mechanisms and equipment.
Installation
1. For a sealed seat, the right side match to the others seat is indicated in the dimensions shown in the dimension table and modify them. (Figure 1)
2. Take special care to install roller follower and avoid placement of oil holes in the inner wheel of the loading zone. This may lead to a shorter bearing life. (Figure 2)
3. The side plate will not fall off when installing a sealed type separated roller follower If they fall off, please re-set them in place with care not to damage the seal lip.
Figure 4 If the roller follower without inner wheel, the shaft requires heat treatment and finishing grinding. The recommended surface hardness of the shaft is 58-64HRC and the recommended coarseness of the shaft is less than 0.2 umRa.
Also, the outer ring and retainer are guided by the side of the mounting part. Therefore, it is recommended to grind or finish at least by processing the sides of the mount. (Figure 3)
