This is a polka dot carving that is still passed down in the production of Yoshida ware in Saga Prefecture.

The polka dot pattern is often seen in inns, parlors, and homes, and has been redesigned to fit your current lifestyle.

Each piece is hand carved with blue polka dots and white dots.

Where essennce was born, Hasami

Located in nearly the centre of Nagasaki Prefecture, Hasami Town has many homes that still live kiln fire, and you can see the scenery of kiln chimney.

essence is a refurbished workshop that was built about 80 years ago in Hasami Town.

This old school workshop is inspired by traditional Hasami ware, nature, art and so on.

The material is molded using the mold, unglazed at approximately 900 degrees Celsius.
