Feature

●The MAX7219 is an integrated serial input/output common cathode display driver that can also connect the microprocessor to an 8-digit LED display and connect a bar graph display or 64 independent LEDs
●Features a type BBCD coder, multipedized scan circuit, segment driver, and 8 * 8 static RAM used to store each data. The only external register is used to set the segment current of each LED
●Convenient 4-wire serial interface connects all common microprocessors Updates can support each data if you dont need to rewrite all displays. The MAX7219 allows users to choose coding of each data
●This device includes 150uA low power shutdown mode, analog and digital brightness control, and a scan-limit register that allows users to display data from 1-8 bits. There is also a test mode to light up all LEDs
●Requires three IO ports to drive one dot matrix. Flicker-free dot matrix display Supports cascading!

Description

Function: One module can drive 8*8 common cathode dot matrix. Designed with 3mm diameter screw hole. The module has an input/output interface and supports multiple modules for cascading.

Specifications:

Model: MAX7219
Type: 4 in 1
Module Operating Voltage: 5V
Size: 13.5 * 3.3cm/5.31 * 1.3inch
Weight: Approx. 1.9 oz (53 g)

Wiring:
1 The left side of the module is an input port and the right side is the output port.
2. If you want to control a single module, simply connect the input port to the CPU
3 If multiple modules are cascaded, the input port of the first module connects to the CPU and the output connects to the input port of the second module. Next, the output of the second module is connected to the input port of the third module.
