Fix the monitor to the rod support. It can be used for a variety of purposes such as a LED light to attach small lights to a camera. The connections are finished with 1/4" fine thread on both sides, but the removable shoe mount can be attached on either side. In other words, if you attach the crank arm to the camera accessory shoe, you can attach a monitor, light etc. to the 1/4 inch thin screw on the tip and fix it at any angle you want.
