This teapot is handmade by Tamimitsu Umehara, the second generation of the Tamakitsu Pottery. The second generation of the Gyokou Kiln is the 3rd generation Eimimitsu (Kotaki), which is also a traditional crafter.
This teapot was pulled up with hand using sushi soil. The surface is treated with a "pine leather" technique named for a pattern similar to the surface of the wood. The capacity is low and the perfect capacity for those who enjoy tea alone. This teapot is finished with a fire kiln change.
Every teapot is made of ceramic tea strainer, called Ceramesh.
The soil is drawn with sperma and firing soil.
Dimensions and capacity are handmade, so individual measurements may vary. In addition, depending on the baking process, the color of the kiln changes may differ from the image.
