This chain guide must be installed on all bikes. Prevents chain from falling off in case of overshift. If the front derailleur is overshifting, the shift is too fast or the chain bounce back without any obvious reason, the aluminum alloy guide will catch the chain and lift the chain to prevent it from falling into the bottom bracket shell.
